There are several reasons why people might enjoy doing yoga at home. A lot of yoga beginners feel more comfortable getting some initial instruction outside of the class environment. Yoga classes can also be pretty expensive if you are on a tight budget, making it hard to get to class as often as you would like. I love yoga videos for their convenience – no hastle of packing a bag, no trip to and from the studio, and no time restraints. While nothing can replace the supportive (and fun!) class environment or the guidance of an in-person teacher, online yoga videos can be a great way to supplement your yoga practice. Check out some of my favorite sources for free online yoga videos below!
There is no shortage of amazing yoga instructors uploading videos to YouTube, but I really enjoy Candace’s teaching style. She has several 60 minute videos (the length of most studio classes), conquers common yogi questions like how to incorporate a yoga strap, and even provides some acroyoga videos!

As another YouTube superstar, Adrienne was the first provider of free online yoga videos I found when I started asking for recommendations. She states: “Yoga reminds me that everything is connected so we must live, act, dance, breathe with awareness. If the journey really is the reward, then by golly I choose to enJOY the journey.” I think that’s a perfect representation of her fun and casual teaching style! If you’re still skeptical about doing yoga at home, her couch potato yoga video might change your mind.
As arguably the most popular yoga publication, it is no surprise that Yoga Journal has many excellent yoga videos available online! You can find many videos from world-renowned teachers, a variety of yoga styles, and different video lengths to suit your needs. I love fitting a 10-minute video into the middle of my workday or using their super short videos to focus on a particular pose.
I turn to POPSUGAR Fitness for all kinds of workout videos, so I was thrilled to see their collection of free yoga videos. Their YouTube channel isn’t orgnized too well for people only interested in yoga videos, but with a quick search you can find a wide variety of videos that provide a great yoga workout!
