Crunches and Brunches: Studio Three and SteakBar

Ready for another weekend of crunches and brunches? This edition features two new favorites – SteakBar and Studio Three!

The Workout

Studio Three just celebrated their one year anniversary of keeping River North fit (and fed). The studio features three areas for yoga, interval training, and Peloton cycling. With plenty of offerings to create a perfect workout routine, it’s no wonder they have some of the most enthusiastic members I’ve seen. They also just opened Studio Three Cafe on the street level, serving up smoothies, juice, salads, and lots more. The space is gorgeous, the instructors are top-notch, and adding a green juice just tops it off. Catch me at Wes’s Saturday morning spin class – it’s the toughest 60 minutes of my weekend and I’m obsessed.

The Brunch

SteakBar recently opened in my neighborhood, but I didn’t rush to visit because I figured it wasn’t vegetarian-friendly. I mean, “steak” is right there in the name. However…I go where the bottomless mimosas are. A quick look at their brunch menu revealed there was plenty for me to choose from! And a lot of delicious options at that.

You already knew I’d get the avocado toast, right?

If you can’t tell, I was all about that avocado toast. And the whiskey smash (you know, for balance). There’s no shortage of indulgent items on the menu, but I was pleasantly surprised by the healthy brunch options.  SteakBar’s servers were so attentive and fun, and brunch here was the perfect way to spend a rare patio day in November.
